Getting out as a single mum or dad isn’t easy, and many people without children find it hard to get out due to all their friends having partners already, so they won’t do the nights on the town and they aren’t allowed to talk to the opposite sex when they do.

So what do people do in that situation?

You can either sit at home and feel sorry for yourself, wonder when that certain someone is going to come knocking at your door, or you can get online, register with a dating site and see who is out there for you to talk to, share some laughter and tears, maybe build a friendship and even love.

I know people who have found love on the Internet. I have three very close friends who are now dating or married to partners they found on online dating sites.

There are many dating sites, which cater for various tastes.

You have your regular singles dating sites, and then there are dating sites for people in the armed forces. You may have dating sites that are for students, already married people looking for intimate encounters and of course lesbian and gay dating sites.

Then there is the fetish dating site scene, which are too many to list. But you get the gist!
